Norwegian Spirit

Norwegian Spirit is operated by Norwegian Cruise Line and is a unique Leo-class ship, originally built in 1998 as SuperStar Leo before joining NCL in 2004. NCL lists the ship at 75,904 gross register tons, 268 m overall length, and 1,972 guests at double occupancy; CruiseMapper lists 13 decks, with 10 passenger-accessible decks.

The ship’s current and typical deployment focuses on longer destination cruises rather than short resort-style loops. NCL promotes Norwegian Spirit for Hawaii, Alaska, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, South Pacific, weekend cruises and “Extraordinary Journeys,” while published itineraries include routes linking Honolulu, Papeete, Lautoka, Sydney and Auckland.

The onboard casino is Maharajah’s Casino, located on Deck 7. It is a mid-size cruise casino with slot machines, table games and a full bar. The atmosphere is traditional and social rather than resort-scale, helped by its placement near Deck 7 nightlife and dining venues such as Bliss Ultra Lounge, Le Bistro and The Local Bar & Grill.
