The Norwegian Sky is a classic, mid-size Norwegian Cruise Line ship built in 1999 and listed by NCL as refurbished in 2024. With 77,104 gross register tons, a 1,944-guest double-occupancy capacity, and a 258 m (846 ft) length, it’s noticeably more intimate than the line’s newest mega-ships, which many travelers prefer for easier navigation and a less crowded feel during sea days.

Onboard, the experience centers on straightforward, resort-style cruising: pool time, a fitness center, and the Mandara Spa for massages and other treatments. Connectivity is a practical highlight, with Starlink high-speed internet now available onboard, improving day-to-day streaming, messaging, and work needs compared with older satellite systems.

Dining on Norwegian Sky is built around variety rather than spectacle. NCL promotes a mix of complimentary venues plus well-known specialty options such as Cagney’s Steakhouse, La Cucina (Italian), Le Bistro (French), and the Pinnacle Lounge & Sushi Bar, giving the ship solid date-night range without requiring a giant dining complex. Evening entertainment leans toward classic cruise production shows like Women of Rock and other musical revues, plus lounge music and late-night spots for a low-key bar crawl.

Itinerary-wise, Norwegian Sky continues to show up on warm-weather routes; in January 2026 it’s scheduled on longer Caribbean sailings with ports such as Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Maarten. Looking ahead, NCLH has also announced a long-term charter that’s expected to move Norwegian Sky to Cordelia Cruises starting in 2026, which is worth factoring in if you’re planning beyond the next season.
