Liberty of the Seas – Royal Caribbean

Liberty of the Seas Overview and AP Status 2025

AP Rating

The Liberty of the Seas has been cruising with Royal Caribbean since 2007, and she’s still a fan favorite. She’s part of the Freedom Class, which basically means she’s big enough to have all the fun stuff but not so huge that you get lost every time you head to dinner. She strikes that nice middle ground—plenty to do, but not totally over the top.

She holds around 3,600 passengers at double occupancy and has all the Royal Caribbean staples: a FlowRider surf simulator, a rock climbing wall, an ice rink, waterslides, and even a Broadway-style theater. The vibe is energetic but not chaotic, and there’s always something going on—whether it’s poolside movies, live music, or late-night bites.

Liberty of the Seas mostly sails the Western Caribbean, with departures often out of Galveston, Texas. So we’re talking warm-weather routes to places like Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. It’s beach time, island hopping, and a lot of sunny deck lounging in between.

All in all, Liberty of the Seas is a great pick if you’re into the classic cruise experience—solid food, tons of entertainment, and tropical ports, all wrapped up in a ship that knows how to keep things fun without going full mega-ship. It’s Royal Caribbean doing what they do best.
