Icon of the Seas – Royal Caribbean
Icon of the Seas Overview and AP Status 2025
The Icon of the Seas is Royal Caribbean International’s latest and greatest cruise ship, officially launched in January 2024. This floating city is the largest cruise ship in the world, boasting 20 decks and accommodating up to 7,600 passengers along with 2,350 crew members. It’s a game-changer in the cruise industry, offering a mix of resort vibes, beach escapes, and theme park thrills all in one place.
Most of the time, the Icon of the Seas sails out of Miami, cruising through the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Each 7-night voyage includes a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay, in the Bahamas. Other ports of call often include St. Thomas, San Juan, Cozumel, and Roatán, depending on the itinerary.
Onboard, you’ll find a massive waterpark, multiple pools, an ice-skating rink, a theater, and over 40 dining spots and bars. The ship is designed with eight distinct neighborhoods, each offering unique experiences, from family-friendly zones to adults-only retreats.
Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a foodie, or just looking to relax, the Icon of the Seas has something for everyone. It’s not just a cruise; it’s a vacation experience that sets a new standard in the industry.
