Carnival Freedom

Carnival Freedom is operated by Carnival Cruise Line, part of Carnival Corporation & plc, and is a Conquest-class ship. She was built by Fincantieri and entered service in 2007. On paper she comes in at about 110,000 gross tons, measures roughly 952 feet in length, carries around 2,980 guests at double occupancy, and sails with about 1,150 crew.

Dining is classic Carnival with about a dozen spots when you count the two main dining rooms plus favorites like Lido Marketplace, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Pizza Pirate, the Carnival Deli, Seafood Shack, Bonsai Sushi Express, JavaBlue Café, and the for-fee Steakhouse; most venues are included in the fare, with a handful of specialty and à-la-carte options.

Beyond food, the ship packs in Carnival staples: WaterWorks splash park, pools and hot tubs, the 21+ Serenity retreat, RedFrog Pub, RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar on deck, Alchemy Bar for cocktails, Playlist Productions shows, the Punchliner Comedy Club, a piano bar, a full gym and spa, and Camp Ocean youth spaces.

Carnival Freedom is homeported in Port Canaveral (Orlando) and mainly runs quick getaways to the Bahamas and short Eastern Caribbean loops, with calls at places like Celebration Key, Nassau, and Half Moon Cay on four- and five-night itineraries.
