Carnival Legend

Carnival Legend is operated by Carnival Cruise Line and belongs to the Spirit class. She was built by Kvaerner Masa-Yards at the Helsinki New Shipyard in Finland, floated out on December 17, 2001, and entered service in 2002; the ship is registered in Panama.

In size, the ship measures about 88,500 gross tons, runs 963 feet in length, and typically sails with 2,124 guests at double occupancy (up to about 2,680 when full) and roughly 930 crew.

Dining is a big part of the experience, with more than 20 venues when you count included and specialty options. Core spots include the Truffles main dining room and the Lido’s Unicorn Café, plus favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Bonsai Sushi, and the ship’s steakhouse; exact branding can vary by refit, but the lineup consistently covers casual to upscale.

Beyond restaurants, Carnival Legend packs in a WaterWorks aqua park featuring the drop-door Green Thunder slide and the 214-foot Twister, along with a mini-golf course, Serenity Adult-Only Retreat, the Alchemy Bar, Cloud 9 Spa, Family Feud Live, The Punchliner Comedy Club, kids’ programs like Camp Ocean, pools, and a full casino. These additions were bolstered in a major 2014 refit and remain part of the current onboard lineup.
