Carnival Firenze Overview and AP Status 2026
Carnival Firenze is operated by Carnival Cruise Line, part of Carnival Corporation & plc. Originally built for sister brand Costa Cruises and renamed for Carnival in 2024 under the “Fun Italian Style” concept, she now sails with Carnival’s U.S. fleet.
The ship was constructed by Fincantieri at the Marghera yard and delivered in December 2020. She measures about 135,156 gross tons, stretches roughly 1,061 feet in length, and typically carries just over 4,100 guests at double occupancy with about 1,400 crew aboard.
Onboard you’ll find an Italian-inspired look and feel think a Piazza Duomo atrium and venues themed after Florence paired with familiar Carnival favorites. Dining spans roughly a dozen-plus spots, including main dining rooms (Michelangelo and Medici), Il Viaggio, Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki, Pizzeria del Capitano, Lido Marketplace, Guy’s Burger Joint, and more; overall the ship offers around 13 dining venues, along with multiple bars and lounges, shows in Teatro Rosso, a Serenity adults-only area, pools, slides, and family activities.
Carnival Firenze is based primarily in Long Beach, California, running short Baja Mexico getaways and longer Mexican Riviera cruises that call at places like Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlán. These itineraries operate year-round on three- to seven-day schedules from Los Angeles/Long Beach.
