Carnival Dream

Carnival Dream is operated by Carnival Cruise Line, part of Carnival Corporation & plc, and sails under the Panamanian flag. She was built by Fincantieri at the Monfalcone yard in northern Italy and entered service in 2009, becoming the lead ship of the Dream class.

In terms of size, the ship comes in at about 130,000 gross tons, stretches roughly 1,004 feet in length with a beam of about 122 feet, and typically carries 3,646 guests at double occupancy with around 1,367 crew. These dimensions place her squarely in the large-ship category for mainstream Caribbean cruising.

The exact lineup can vary by refits, but you’ll find ample complimentary options alongside a few for-fee choices.

Beyond restaurants, Carnival Dream is outfitted with family-friendly staples like the Carnival WaterWorks aqua park and a wraparound Lanai promenade with cantilevered hot tubs, plus the Cloud 9 Spa with a thalassotherapy pool, a theater, multiple pools and hot tubs, the Serenity adults-only retreat, kids’ and teens’ clubs, a casino, and a busy bar scene headlined by venues like RedFrog Rum Bar and Alchemy Bar. It’s a lively, mainstream ship designed for casual fun and sea-day variety.
