Adventure of the Seas – Royal Caribbean
Adventure of the Seas Overview and AP Status 2025
The Adventure of the Seas has been sailing with Royal Caribbean since 2001, and she’s still going strong. Part of the Voyager Class, she was a big deal when she launched—packed with features that were cutting-edge at the time and still hold up pretty well today. She’s got that classic Royal Caribbean energy, just in a slightly more chill, mid-sized package.
She can carry around 3,800 passengers when fully loaded, and there’s plenty to keep everyone busy. Think rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, surf simulator, waterslides, and a fun little promenade that’s perfect for grabbing a snack or just people-watching. It’s a solid mix of action and relaxation without being too overwhelming.
The Adventure spends a lot of her time cruising the Caribbean, especially out of ports like San Juan, Puerto Rico. So you’ll hit spots like Barbados, St. Lucia, and the Virgin Islands—basically all the postcard-perfect islands you’d want on a tropical getaway. Occasionally, she shifts to the Northeast U.S. or Europe depending on the season.
If you’re into the idea of a fun, lively cruise ship that has all the key Royal Caribbean features—but in a more manageable size—Adventure of the Seas is a great pick. It’s got the right mix of adventure (no pun intended) and chill, with plenty of sun-soaked destinations in the mix.
